Patria aims to foster collaboration across the civil and defence sectors to develop innovative digital solutions. To drive these efforts, there was a need to identify key opportunities, use cases, and viable business models that could shape future developments. Specifically, Patria sought a deeper understanding of the current market landscape, identifying relevant digital, data-driven, and metaverse-based solutions that align with its long-term vision.
This work was conducted as part of the eALLIANCE programme, which brings together civil and defence technology companies to explore joint innovation opportunities and build a unique cooperation model across sectors.

To address the challenge, Patria partnered with Catapult to conduct a comprehensive market analysis of metaverse initiatives, particularly within the domains of challenging conditions and critical operations. While the primary focus was on these sectors, our research also explored insights from other industries, including the industrial metaverse, to identify transferable innovations.
Our analysis provided a detailed overview of the current virtual environment and metaverse landscape, highlighting key benchmarks and emerging technology players shaping the future of digital ecosystems.
