Clarifying the Global Logistics Landscape for Vantaa

To support a strategic goal of becoming a “next-level logistics city” beyond traditional infrastructure, the City of Vantaa wanted a broad and detailed view of international logistics.

The aim was to examine driving forces affecting logistics and to benchmark comparable logistics hubs and innovation clusters worldwide, understanding how they are set up, governed and scaled to support their work in LOBRA.

LOBRA is a research and development project aimed at optimizing the movement of goods across Finland’s transport infrastructure.

Comprehensive Analysis of Logistics Drivers and Hubs

We conducted a research study examining the transformation of logistics and benchmarking international innovation ecosystems.

Using a broad definition of logistics, we identified five hub archetypes and outlined how leading ecosystems are structured and develop over time, supporting it with leading global examples.

Comparing leading logistics environments gave the client a clearer picture of how different hub models operate and collaborate, supporting better decisions on ecosystem structure, stakeholders and priorities.
